Aaron S Moran

Aaron Moran (b. 1986 Burnaby, B.C.) received a BFA from ECUAD in 2007 as well as studied Film at SFU in 2009. He explores print making, assemblage, illustration, and is involved in an array of self publishing projects.

Regardless of medium, his work evaluates societal / cultural norms and ideas of community. Having traveled across British Columbia and Canada for the last few years, he was inspired by the consistent destruction of small communities in favor of large scale developments and business conglomerates.

Aside from his fine art practice, Aaron Moran operates Smoke Signals Publishing, a newly developed self publishing collective based in Vancouver. He has exhibited in Vancouver B.C.

Adam Blasberg

In the world we live in we are surrounded by stereotypical characters. These stereotypes define these characters. These characters are in the stories of our lives. From the plumber to the athlete, to the fireman. These rolls are changing and they have been changing since society itself was created. I want to photograph our current interpretation of these characters that play a roll in each of our lives. Our vision of the plumber is changing, our idea of the fireman is changing. I’d like to show people what those stereotypes look like. Our landscapes aren’t any different. Constantly changing and constantly taken for granted.

Painting Drawing Sculpture DISCIPLINE http://bachelormachines.org/adamdodd.html
WEBSITE

Adam Dodd continues to explore the active and shifting procession (& recession) of the complex experience in contemporary life, especially within the local context, the city.

Like a scar or a fossil, the empty plot left overgrown where a building once stood holds a clue to the past and the structure it once bore.

In a society of consumption and disposable all-sorts, Dodd tries to pick up on the messages these ghost-like foundations of architecture and hidden histories have to offer.

Adam Macdonald

Adam studied Political Science and Adult Education at University but is a self-taught artist.   He currently lives and makes his art in Fredericton, and teaches Drawing and Communication at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design.

“His deceptively dopey conceptual figurations are like well-crafted pop songs—instantly pleasing iconic guilty pleasures that belie a virtuosic and well-studied composer behind their bubblegum facades, fully capable of the optical symphonic, but opting to craft within the visual vernacular.” Sacha M. Lee – Beautiful/Decay Magazine

Oinonen is represented by CTRL in Houston and the Mehr Gallery in New York and lives and works in Toronto.
