SCION ARTIST SESSIONS
The Cheaper Show and Scion are proud to present the Scion Sessions Artist Grants – a program designed to support new, emerging artists working in Canada and the galleries that are showing them. The Scion Artist Session Grants Program will allocate thirteen $500 grants to artists, artist-run centers and small galleries this summer. These will be available to artists & groups in Vancouver (4), Toronto (5) and Montreal (4).
Applying for a Scion grant is easy. Just fill in the appropriate information below and tell us why you would like to participate in the grant program. Please note that all grants must be applied to shows with openings happening before September 30th, 2010.
We’ll consider the following factors when reviewing your submissions:
- Artistic Merit
- Community Involvement
- Unique marketing initiatives or application of funds

GRANT REQUIREMENTS
There are some requirements which you must agree to and fulfill as part of your grant. These will be provided in the form of a simple contract that you will be entering in to with Scion Canada. Please read them carefully.
- You must provide 5 (five) complimentary admission passes to the event (if there is entrance fee)
- Allow for distribution of promotional materials such as handbills at the event
- Inclusion of Scion logo on all printed marketing collateral materials (handbills, posters, etc)
- Scion logo on any promotional web content and Scion name mention (listed as sponsor of the event) in any Facebook, social media or blog promotion listed as a sponsor of the event
- Provide no less than 8 digital pictures from the event
- Branding inside the venue other than promotional flyers etc is not required (however Scion would be interested in any ideas that you have regarding cross promotion.)
