Event Information
On Saturday June 26, The Cheaper Show No. 9 will take over W2 Storyeum, at 151 West Cordova Street, for one night only.
- Doors open at 6pm and close at midnight.
- No IN/OUT
- Entrance is by donation, recommended minimum donation $5+ (Everyone is welcome, no one will be turned away).
- Get in free to all the afterparties before midnight with a $10+ donation
- official after-parties taking place at The Astoria, The Biltmore and Fortune Sound Club
Art Sales
- Art purchases are limited at 3 per person
- First come, first serve
- Cash Only (ATMs on-site)
- All art must be picked up Sunday June 26th between 1 & 5pm
Improvements for No. 9
There have been significant steps taken to ensure that The Cheaper Show No. 9 will be accessible to everyone who wants to experience the event. The W2 Storyeum space offers 30,000 sq. ft of exhibition space, close to double the space for The Cheaper Show No. 8. Additionally, the sales, bar and entry/exit systems have been overhauled to provide better access for everyone.
For over 7 weeks, the Cheaper Crew, along with a dedicated group of 100+ volunteers have been working on various improvements to the site, including the installation of a 45 ft. bar, painting the venue from top to bottom as well as many additional changes to improve access and crowd flow.
Live Stream of the Event
For all of The Cheaper Show fans who won’t be able to make it to the event, ArtLive.Tv will be filming on location and a live stream of the show will be available through a link on our website during the events.
About The Crew
The Cheaper Show is a non-profit event operated by the Emerging Arts Foundation. The Crew consists of 12 artists from East Vancouver who have worked tirelessly to make this show a reality. Along with the Cheaper Crew, is a group of more than 110 incredible volunteers that have dedicated hundreds of hours to the show.
